Caught early enough, many cancers can be managed to give your cat more quality time with you. The problem is that some of the signs that cats with cancer may demonstrate are easily missed. If you see any of these changes in your cat, talk with your veterinarian:
- abnormal bleeding or any odd discharge
- difficulty breathing
- discharge or bleeding from the nose or eyes
- hiding/inactivity
- jaundice
- lack of appetite
- lameness
- lumps or bumps
- matted hair
- mouth, gum, and other oral abnormalities
- non-healing sores
- scaly skin
- trouble defecating or urinating
- vomiting and/or diarrhea
- weight loss.
